The nail movements used to create these shapes are the same strokes i use to make my first initial when signing my name.
Artwork created using traditional Turkish Ebru techniques.
The piece is painted onto an aqueous surface using various brushes and tools and then captured on paper.
In Europe known as marbling
It takes acute concentration and each peace must be finished without pause, it is a kind of meditation....and i love it.
Because you work on water there is an element of randomness which means every piece is truly unique and impossible to replicate.

The colours are really harmonious and beautiful, and I also love puzzling what your first initial could be, trying to figure out what movements would have created this design... It's something I really love about paper marbling; it shows the movements from its creation very clearly in its finished form, which makes it look fluid and flowing.
